IMPIC established by influential Muslim community leaders under the leadership of Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri

Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council is a national representative Muslim body established by influential Irish Muslim community leaders from various different backgrounds under the leadership of Irish Muslim scholar Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri.

Shaykh Al-Qadri has been leading the Muslim community in Ireland since his arrival in Ireland in 2004. As an Imam of the Al-Mustafa Islamic Centre in Blanchardstown he also frequently travelled to Cork, Athlone, Port Laoise, and Belfast to guide the Muslim communities in these cities.

Shaykh Al-Qadri has been representing the Irish Muslims on various governmental and non governmental bodies and hence when he invited some influential Irish Muslim community leaders to be part of IMPIC, his invitation was accepted with enthusiasm.

After many meetings, discussions and debates the constitution of IMPIC was finalised.
