Irish Muslim Council

About us

Irish Muslim Council is a national representative Muslim body with presence in Dublin, Cork, Athlone, Port Laoise and Belfast.

Irish Muslim Council is an independent body, established to provide a forum where the Irish Muslim Community can speak as one recognised voice on matters relating to their well-being in Ireland, and help promote ways of integrating effectively in the community and promote the true teachings of Islam.

Irish Muslim Council is a non-sectarian body working for the common good without interfering in, displacing or isolating any existing Muslim work in the community.
It is a broad-based, representative organisation of Muslims in Ireland, accommodating and reflecting the variety of social and cultural backgrounds and outlook of the community.

Irish Muslim Council is pledged to work for the common good of society as a whole; encouraging individual Muslims and Muslim organisations to play a full and participatory role in Irish public life.

Irish Muslim Council is a democratic body, built on consultation, co-operation and co-ordination among concerned Muslims throughout the Island of Ireland.
