The Irish Muslim Council is pleased to announce that the blessed month of Ramadan 1447 AH has commenced following the confirmed sighting of the new moon in KSA.
Accordingly:
🗓 The first day of Ramadan will be Wednesday, 18 February 2026.
Ramadan is a sacred month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. It is a time for spiritual renewal, increased devotion, and strengthening our bonds with family, neighbours, and society at large.
The Irish Muslim Council extends its warmest wishes to the Muslim community across Ireland and prays that Allah (SWT) accepts our fasting, prayers, charity, and good deeds. May this month bring peace, mercy, and blessings to all.
