Our Work

What we do

Bridging Communities. Building Peace.

From tackling Islamophobia to building friendships across faiths, our work is about strengthening the Muslim community and its place in Irish life.

Interfaith Dialogue

Building friendships across faith communities

We work closely with Christian, Jewish, and other faith communities, and with people of no faith, to build mutual understanding and lasting relationships. Through shared events, dialogue, and cooperation, we help Muslims and their neighbours know one another as friends.

Advocacy and engagement

Advocacy

Speaking up for the community

We engage with Government, public institutions, and civil society on the issues that matter to Muslims in Ireland, from religious freedom and equality to integration, education, and community safety. We work to ensure the community’s voice is heard where decisions are made.

Tackling Islamophobia

Anti-Racism & Tackling Islamophobia

Standing against anti-Muslim hate

We challenge Islamophobia, racism, and discrimination wherever they appear, through public statements, education, and engagement with An Garda Síochána and public bodies. We also support the community on matters of mosque security and the safety of Muslims going about their daily lives.

Bridge Building

Bringing communities together

At the heart of our work is bringing Muslim communities together with the wider Irish society they are part of. Through Eid festivals, open days, and everyday partnership, we help build the trust and friendship that a peaceful, connected Ireland depends on.

Muslim Community Ireland

Community Cohesion

A stronger, more united society

We work against division in all its forms, from extremism and sectarianism to racism and social exclusion. By encouraging participation, cooperation, and solidarity, we help build a society where people of every background can live together with dignity and respect.
