IMPIC ISSUES STATEMENT ON PARIS ATTACKS

Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri,  Chair of the Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council and Imam of the Islamic Centre Ireland, condemned the attacks in Paris.

Shaykh Al-Qadri said: “My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Paris and every other place on earth plagued by sick men with weapons and bombs. Terrorists have no religion whatsoever. Their religion is intolerance hatred for Peace. The news from Paris is very frightening.  May God be with us all against all types of extremism and terrorism.“

Shaykh Al-Qadri added that the perpetrators of these attacks are an enemy to Islam and all humanity. The cancerous ideology of Daesh (ISIS) can only be defeated collectively. We can defeat this evil ideology through understanding and supporting each other in unity for Peace.

Shaykh Al-Qadri appeared on the 9pm News on 14th November 2015, a day after the Paris Attack to speak on these attacks
