Report Islamophobia

Report an incident

If you have experienced or witnessed Islamophobia, anti-Muslim hatred, or discrimination in Ireland, you can report it to us here. Every report helps us understand and respond to what the community is facing.

In an emergency, call 112 or 999.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact An Garda Síochána straight away. This form is not monitored in real time.

Reporting to us is not a formal gardaí report.

Reporting to the Irish Muslim Council helps us record and respond to Islamophobia, but it does not replace an official report to An Garda Síochána. To report a hate crime or hate incident to the Gardaí, visit garda.ie or contact your local Garda station. We would encourage you to do both.

Make a report

Please complete the form below. We ask for your name and contact details so we can verify reports and, where appropriate, follow up with you. Your details are handled with care and in confidence.

    What happens next

Once you submit a report, our team will review it. Because your contact details are included, we may reach out to you for more information or to offer support. Reports also help us build a picture of anti-Muslim hatred in Ireland, so we can respond and advocate more effectively on the community’s behalf.

    How we handle your information

The information you provide is used to record and respond to the incident you report, and to help the Irish Muslim Council understand and address Islamophobia in Ireland, including through our research and publications. It is stored securely with the Council and seen only by authorised members of our team. We never share your personal details without your consent, except where we are required to do so by law.
