A National Celebration of Faith, Unity & Community The Irish Muslim Council is delighted to announce the return of Eid al-Adha at Croke Park 2026; marking the 7th historic Eid celebration at Croke Park. This special gathering has become one of the largest Muslim community events in Ireland, bringing together families, communities, and people from across the country in a spirit of unity, faith, and celebration. This year’s event will be even more memorable as the Eid prayer will be performed on the pitch itself at the iconic Croke Park stadium. The Irish Muslim Council is pleased to announce that the blessed month of Ramadan 1447 AH has commenced following the confirmed sighting of the new moon in KSA. Accordingly: 🗓 The first day of Ramadan will be Wednesday, 18 February 2026. Ramadan is a sacred month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. It is a time for spiritual renewal, increased devotion, and strengthening our bonds with family, neighbours, and society at large. The Irish Muslim Council extends its warmest wishes to the Muslim community across Ireland and prays that Allah (SWT) accepts our fasting, prayers, charity, and good deeds. Statement on the arson attack in Limerick Mosque

The Irish Muslim Council strongly condemns the recent arson attack on the Islamic Cultural Centre in Limerick. An attack on any place of worship is an attack on the fundamental values of peace, respect, and coexistence that define Irish society. We are deeply alarmed by the rise in anti-Muslim hate and the growing levels of Islamophobia across the country. Such acts of hostility and intimidation not only target one community but undermine the inclusive and democratic principles upon which Ireland is built. There can be no tolerance for hatred directed at any faith group. The Muslim community in Ireland stands firmly for peace, dialogue, and cooperation. We remain committed to working constructively with all communities and civic partners to ensure that fear, division, and prejudice do not prevail. At this critical moment, the Irish Muslim Council calls on the Government to strengthen protections for all places of worship, not only mosques, but churches, synagogues, temples, and every sacred space across the country.
